Croeso i Dosbarth Oak
Welcome to Dosbarth Oak's class page. In Dosbarth Oak, Miss Carroll is the class teacher and Mrs Rowlands is the class teaching assistant. We also have Mrs Heath with us every day except for a Wednesday. On Mondays, the children in Dosbarth Oak are taught by Miss Jones.
In Dosbarth Oak, the children are placed at the center of their learning, choosing their own topics and helping to plan how they are going to develop important skills. The children follow a structured timetable, with a careful balance of focus teaching and daily access to enhanced and continuous provision. During this time, children experience a wide range of learning opportunities where they independently explore and investigate in a variety of areas, consolidate their learning and challenge themselves further.
On our class page you will find information about our current topics and have the opportunity to see some of our learning in action!

Don't forget to check out our Twitter page @alexcptweets to see the exciting things we have been doing. You can also post your homework there too!
Due to the current restrictions we are currently learning from home. To support your child's learning during this time, Miss Carroll will be working with them via Google Classroom.
Each day the children will have daily phonics, a piece of English work, some mathematics work and a topic assignment. These activities are carefully planned to provide the children with a variety of learning tasks, with a careful balance between computer based and practical activities.
To support your child's home learning, Miss Carroll, Mrs Rowlands and Mrs Heath will also be holding live sessions via Google Meets every Tuesday and Friday morning at 9am. This is a lovely opportunity for the children to keep in touch with their friends, have vital input towards their home learning and most importantly, celebrate all their wonderful work!
Our main priority at this time continues to be the well-being of our children. Please do not hesitate to contact Miss Carroll via class dojo if you have any concerns or questions.
