Welcome to Dosbarth Elder's Class Page

In Dosbarth Elder, Mr Heitzman is our class Teacher and Mrs Davies is our class Teaching Assistant. We are very lucky to have Miss Jones who runs our Forest School with us every week as well. 

Here on our class page you will find all of the important documents you need and take a look at our learning in action. 

General Information

PE: Dosbarth Elder will be having PE every Thursday. Children will need black shorts or joggers, a plain white top and plain black trainers. Please make sure your child's PE kit is clearly labelled. 

Swimming: Dosbarth Elder will be taking part in swimming lessons every Friday. Children will need to bring a swimwear, towel, and a swimming cap if required. All items should be clearly labelled.

Forest School: Dosbarth Elder will have Forest School every Monday with Miss Jones. Children will need need warm outdoor clothes and shoes that they don't mind getting wet and muddy.

Our Focus - Our World and Beyond

This half term, our topic is Our World and Beyond, where we will explore Earth, space, and the conditions needed for life to exist. We will learn about our planet and what makes Earth a suitable place for living things, as well as consider why space and other planets can be much more challenging environments. Throughout the topic, we will develop our understanding of space exploration and the work of astronauts, thinking about how humans explore beyond Earth and adapt to survive in extreme conditions. We will also compare Earth with other planets, encouraging curiosity about the universe and our place within it.

Homework

Here you will find our Homework grids. This half term our homework grid is for 'Our World and Beyond'. 

The homework activities cover the six areas of learning and are set as Must, Should, and Could tasks, so everyone has a chance to take part at their own level.
