Spring 2: Cynefin
This term, our learning will centre around Cynefin, our sense of belonging and we will be exploring what makes Wrexham special. As part of our studies, the children will be investigating our local area and thinking carefully about how we, as a class, could help improve places that may not be as appealing to the wider community or to visitors.
We will start by going on a local area walk, giving pupils the chance to observe real‑life examples of issues such as littering, damaged spaces, or areas in need of care. Back in class, we will discuss what we noticed and work together to design thoughtful, practical ideas to enhance our community.
We will also be learning about Wrexham Council, who they are, what they do, and how the decisions they make shape our local environment. In Maths, we will be continuing our learning on multiplication and in Literacy we will be writing an exciting “beat the monster” tale, inspired by our model text about a dragon causing chaos at Wrexham Racecourse!
