Being eligible for free school meals means that further financial help is available to you, including the school essentials grant, music lessons and some school trips. We also receive funding based on the number of eligible pupils who attend our school which means we are able to provide even more learning opportunities for your child.

School Essential Grant
Families eligible for Free School Meals can apply for the school essential grant. This applies to all pupils from Reception class up to year 11.
All Looked After children are eligible regardless of free school meal status.
The grant is worth £200 for pupils entering Year 7 and £125 for all other year groups. 
The grant can be used to pay towards the cost of:
- school uniform
- school sports kit
- uniform for wider activities (for example sports, scouts and guides)
- equipment (such as school bags and stationery)
- specialist equipment where new curriculum activities begin (such as design and technology)
- equipment for out of school hours trips (such as waterproofs for outdoor learning)
- laptop or tablet device
Fuel Vouchers
Wrexham's Local Authority no longer issue Fuel Vouchers however, Citizen's Advice do offer a great energy advice service and as part of that process they can issue fuel vouchers to clients. Their number is 0300 330 1178.
